Happy Meals!!

I can't even believe that our first meal together as a family was at McDonalds! We rarely eat there at home; however, our legal interpreter, Gloria, suggested we take the kids to a McDonalds within walking distance of our apartments. She said all kids like hamburgers and it is very kid friendly. She was right, of course, I just hadn't imagined our celebratory meal being at McDonalds. The McDonalds here have huge play places and since it was during school hours, we had the place to ourselves. The kids had a blast - it truly was a Happy Meal!! After a bit, we walked to a nearby grocery and picked up a few things for a light supper. Then we had a quiet movie time. Later we took all the kids down to the playground here at the apartments. I tried not to freak out while the kids did flips and hung upside down over the brick pavers. We don't even know where the closest ER is. I know their grandmothers are praying overtime for our protection. We had a great day!!
